Jess' fireman day and first day of dance

Jess learned to stop, drop and roll...and that was before dance class! She had a blast learning about fire, and what to do when your barn catches on fire (You know we're not anywhere near metropolis!) or if your clothes catch on fire. She's played a couple of senarios out in her head like, if you are on fire and you stop and drop you have to make sure there are no toys on the floor or your fire clothes will burn them up. Kooky& Wacky.
She loves music and loves to dance! This will be her second year in dance. She had the summer off from lessons, but that didn't happer her. She still got her boogie on at home! Her favorite this summer has been Abba's " Dancing Queen" and " Mama Mia". Now she'll have opportunity to expand her dance"moobs" (moves). She told " I want to have good moobs."

Happy Birthday from Pollyanna

Happy Schmappy Birthday to me!

So, I know this is late, not that anyone is surprised...but I wanted to say thanks to the girls for the fun birthday lunch. ( I wrote proper Thank You notes and delivered about half of them so far..duh.) And then to make it even sweeter, Pollyanna (who has entirely admirable talents) made me a fantastic fondant mad hatter birthday cake! She made the fondant out of marshmallow so it tasted as wonderful as it looked! I took pictures of the art.

Jess and Wes on the first day of Kindergarten

Jess and Wes on the first day of Kindergarten
Jess woke up on this particular morning in rare form. She usually doesn't care what she's wearing; her birthday suit is just as good as anything else. On this day inparticular, she informed me that she didn't want any bows or bands and that she had her clothes picked out. Was that Kindergarten or 8th grade?
