WOW! Things got really sort of crazy. I have some catching up to do. This was a great weekend. Not only was it General Conference, but the sun was out and we spent time outside! We have a terraced garden on the backside of the hill our home is on..well about 2/3 of the way across. Steve had Friday off so we worked a bunch and got a fabulous start on the rest! We hauled ties and dug and pounded stakes and got dirty and sore and had a blast. There will be 3 levels in this side, the upper one for vine fruits and their friends, the middle for variety berries and the bottom one for Raspberries. I can't wait to start planting. I know I have to anyway. Last year it snowed on the 3rd of June. Maybe the next project should be a green house for me!
We got 8 chicks...they're all feathered out now so I guess they're teen chickens. They are funny. I can't help but think of the movie "Chicken Run" when I see them huddled in the corner whispering things. They are silly and Jess thinks they are great.
Speaking of my darling princess, she had to go to the dentist. She has been a fabulous brusher of teeth ever since I explained that lack of correct and frequent brushing was the cause of her dental experience. They had to give her NOS because if you look at her wrong she'll gag. She was ready to go when she was done. She wouldn't even go back in to get the toy she left there. They can keep it was all she said. She was brave. Today the sun was out and warm. Jess and I played on the trampoline together. IT was fun. Jess wanted to play Kung-Fu. We did all sorts of crazy "moves". I'm glad our neighbors aren't very close! They would have been scared of more than just my super ninja moves!

Hey Emily and fam. maybe spring really is here, we are having warm weather today too. Hope you have many fun kung fu days ahead of you on the trampoline, and don't worry about the neighbors seeing you, there is a little bit of ninja in all of us.

Happy Birthday from Pollyanna

Happy Schmappy Birthday to me!

So, I know this is late, not that anyone is surprised...but I wanted to say thanks to the girls for the fun birthday lunch. ( I wrote proper Thank You notes and delivered about half of them so far..duh.) And then to make it even sweeter, Pollyanna (who has entirely admirable talents) made me a fantastic fondant mad hatter birthday cake! She made the fondant out of marshmallow so it tasted as wonderful as it looked! I took pictures of the art.

Jess and Wes on the first day of Kindergarten

Jess and Wes on the first day of Kindergarten
Jess woke up on this particular morning in rare form. She usually doesn't care what she's wearing; her birthday suit is just as good as anything else. On this day inparticular, she informed me that she didn't want any bows or bands and that she had her clothes picked out. Was that Kindergarten or 8th grade?
